The TP4056H is a 1A single-cell lithium-ion battery linear charger with an input voltage rating of up to 30V and
a built-in power OVP (over-voltage protection) function. It adopts a constant-current/constant-voltage (CC/CV)
charging mode and includes reverse battery polarity protection. With an ESOP8/DFN3×3-8 package featuring
a bottom heat-dissipation pad and requiring only a small number of external components, the TP4056H is an
ideal choice for portable applications. It is suitable for operation with USB power supplies, adapter power
supplies, and solar panel power sources

Because it uses an internal PMOSFET architecture together with an anti-reverse charging circuit, no external
blocking diode is required. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charging current to limit the chip
temperature during high-power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The full-charge voltage has
three selectable levels: 4.35V, 4.2V, and 3.7V. The charging current can be externally set using a resistor. When
the charging current drops to 1/10 of the programmed value after reaching the final float voltage, the TP4056H
automatically terminates the charging cycle.

When the input voltage (AC adapter, USB power, or solar panel supply) is removed, the TP4056H automatically
enters a low-current state, reducing the battery leakage current to less than 1 μA. The TP4056H can also be
placed in shutdown mode while the power supply is present, reducing the supply current to 85 μA. Other
features of the TP4056H include power supply self-adaptation, battery temperature monitoring, undervoltage
lockout, automatic recharge, and two LED status pins for charging and charge-termination indication.
